Lace Chains: You wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you.

Feeling beautiful in your own skin is one of the most important things in life.

In my opinion, fitting clothing to your body is more important than how 'trendy' the garment is in general. Common ladies and gents, use your ASSets.

Being a girl who isn't a size zero and who aspires to be in the fashion industry, I do get self-conscious about how clothing fits me. We all have little hang ups about ourselves and it's hard to get rid of them. Not all of us can be model-thin...it's a fact! And honestly, I'd rather have some meat on my bones (Fit is the new sexy!). We are ALL BEAUTIFUL, every single one of us. And I'll let you in on a little secret...wearing the right clothes can ooze that beauty right out of you.

Try not to focus on how cute a garment is, but rather look at the shape and think, "how would that look on my body?". I don't think that anyone should ever feel like they have to hide a part of their body from the world because it is classified as below average to society. That's disgusting. BUT you can camouflage your hang-ups so you don't have to worry about them! Tada, anxiety vanished.

I have bigger arms for a girl...honestly I feel like a man sometimes, haha. So, when I look for long sleeve shirts I have to look for ones with bigger sleeves so I don't feel uncomfortable. When I look for blouses, I like to try and find flowy sleeves so I don't have to worry about my arms looking fat. I know there will be cute things I find that I can't wear because they plain DON'T look good on me...and I can't get sad about it! I'm at the age where I know how my body looks in certain items and I know what structures work well for me and which ones do not. I would rather look good in my clothing than have my clothing look good...but bad on me. I always say, you gotta wear the clothing, don't let it wear you! We all just have to remember, finding clothing to fit your body is about comfort and showing off the best you, NOT hiding and hating your body.

It's all about the style, structure, fit, color, blah blah blah. Everything, basically.

Hayyyy!

I wore the shirt because I have small boobs (it makes them look bigger) and I don't have to wear a bra with it (SCORE) and..it's cute! It's from Forever21 and SUPER easy to wear.

I'm always the biggest sucker for black pants. These are jeggings from Forever21 and they have some structure on them that you can't see in the photo. I have bigger legs and a thick ass booty. Yep, you heard me. Black masks this. Yeah, white skinny jeans are cute as f-word but I wouldn't get caught DEAD wearing them because my butt would look bigger than the earth.

And as always, I threw in some accessories (I <3 TURQUOISE).

So, this is just an example of how you can work with clothing so that it looks cute AND good on you!! Woop woop.
